Ghana’s national volleyball team advanced to the quarterfinals of the Africa Volleyball Nations Cup in Nairobi, Kenya, after securing back-to-back victories in the tournament. Ghana will face Rwanda on Tuesday, August 31, 2026.
The team began the winning run with a 3-2 victory over Tunisia on August 23. Ghana followed that result with a 3-0 win against Zambia on August 30, securing its place in the knockout stage.
The quarterfinal against Rwanda will determine whether Ghana moves into the semifinals. A Ghana victory would propel the team into the next stage of the tournament.
The two wins give Ghana a quarterfinal place after a closely contested result against Tunisia and a straight-set victory over Zambia. The team’s next fixture is against Rwanda in Nairobi on August 31.
